Parkinson’s Care
At Village Crossing at Worman’s Mill, we meet you where you are in your journey with Parkinson’s Disease and work to tailor every aspect of daily life to address your unique needs. Your care begins with a custom-designed personal care plan developed by a coordinated care team, consisting of a physician or nurse practitioner, nutritionist, psychiatric nurse practitioner, and caregivers. The result is a unique living experience designed to promote independence and enhance quality of life.
Our Move for Life therapists and movement specialists, specially trained in LSVT BIG®, work to help enhance mobility, function, posture, gait, balance, and fine motor skills, as well as reduce rigidity and tremors. Our Parkinson’s care also includes LSVT LOUD®, an effective speech treatment available for people with Parkinson’s Disease and other neurological conditions.
In addition, we incorporate physical movement into your overall care plan, with classes taught by an exercise therapist. A caregiver will then help you practice these exercises in the comfort of your apartment.
We are here to support you, from managing symptoms, to reclaiming movement, to finding your voice again.
