Shavonne Brown, Memory Care Director
Shavonne brings more than fourteen years of senior living and occupational therapy experience to Village Crossing. Her passion for serving older adults began early in her career, but it was the community’s commitment to person‑centered care that made her feel instantly connected to the mission. She knew right away it was a place where she could make a meaningful impact.
As Memory Care Director, Shavonne finds her greatest purpose in supporting residents and their families through every stage of their journey. She leads with commitment and compassion—values that guide how she shows up each day. With a background spanning assisted living, skilled nursing, hospitals, and home health, she has supported individuals living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and other neurological conditions. She has also led teams of various sizes and previously served as a Rehab Director, Memory Care Director, and Assisted Living Manager.
Shavonne earned degrees from Frederick Community College, Baltimore County Community College, and Towson University, including an A.A. in Human Services, an A.S. as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, and a B.S. in Health Science.
Outside of work, Shavonne enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, kickboxing, and hosting game nights. She can watch Girls Trip endlessly, never wears socks no matter the weather, and loves Mexican wedding cookies. Her ideal vacation is a tropical beach—especially Turks and Caicos. She lives with her husband, their two boys, and their energetic goldendoodle.
