Robyn Wheat, Director of Community Relations
Robyn wanted to be part of something new, where she could help build from the ground up in the town she knew and loved, so that’s exactly what she did—becoming the first employee of Village Crossing. Now as Director of Community Relations, she is creating meaningful connections and serving as a trusted resource for families as they navigate care decisions.
Compassion speaks most to Robyn. “Compassion is at the heart of how I live and work," she says. “It means understanding each person’s story, meeting them where they are, and helping families feel seen, supported and cared for. Compassion allows me to build trust, create meaningful connections, and make a real difference in the lives of others.”
Robyn received her Bachelor of Science from Texas Weslyn University and has worked in senior living for more than a decade, first on the business office side, then in sales. This has allowed her to combine industry knowledge with a people-first approach to building trust and relationships.
When she’s not busy serving as a trusted resource for families, this native Texan loves spending time with friends and family (husband, teenage daughter and teenage son), playing games, and enjoying fresh air and sunshine in the great outdoors. She’s also a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys. And don’t forget canine pal Romo, who she says “fills our home with joy.”
Ideal vacation? Warm weather with her family, preferably at the beach, looking for shark teeth and sea glass.
