Maggie Hanrahan, Life Enrichment Director
For Maggie, being Life Enrichment Director at Village Crossing is an opportunity to put her imagination to full use every day without having to ask for permission. That’s why the core value of imagination speaks so strongly to her.
“Solera allows me and my team to be the wild and fun ones we are at heart,” she says. “I love what I do, especially when residents tell me they don’t need enrichment because their days are full—then they become regulars at our activities!”
Maggie was drawn to Village Crossing because it allowed her not only to have her career in her hometown, but also show residents all there is in Frederick. She received her Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Leisure from Sheperd University, also volunteering at the Berkely County Senior Center with her sorority.
When she’s not cooking up something interesting for residents to do, Maggie might be spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, or watching baseball and Formula 1 racing. She’s a huge fan of both.
Perfect vacation? Traveling down the west coast in an RV with her dad and “hitting up” all the MLB stadiums she hasn’t already visited. For the past 15 years, other than during COVID, Maggie and her father have attended Opening Day for the Orioles.
