Leola Devine, Resident Care Coordinator
Leola’s passion for senior care began years ago when her father needed support, and she witnessed the compassion and dignity caregivers brought into his life. That experience stayed with her and ultimately inspired her to pursue a career where she could offer the same comfort to other families. When she discovered the warm, welcoming environment at Village Crossing, she knew it was the right place to continue that work.
As Resident Care Coordinator, Leola blends healthcare oversight with communication, organization, and heartfelt connection. She assesses each resident’s needs, develops personalized care plans, supports team members with their daily responsibilities, and keeps families informed and reassured. Compassion is the value that guides her most—she is patient, gentle, and always ready to listen.
Leola has been in the health field for more than eleven years and earned her CNA/GNA certification through Frederick Community College. Originally from England, she brings a grounded, genuine warmth that residents and families feel immediately.
Outside of work, Leola enjoys singing and dancing to 90s music (only behind closed doors!), seeing live bands, kayaking, taking long walks, and cozy Netflix nights. Her perfect vacation would take her back to Great Yarmouth, England, followed by a sun‑filled getaway to Jamaica. Leola has three children—Ebony, Ian, and Ava—a wonderful boyfriend, Dougie, and family nearby. She also has a sweet rescue pup named Savvy Dingo.
