Aleshia’s career as a Registered Nurse includes 17 years in senior living, in both skilled nursing and assisted living. Her passion for working with seniors was sparked early. During her senior year in high school, Aleshia cared for her grandmother at her home while she was in Hospice. “The nurses were absolutely incredible and inspired me to become an RN,” she says. 

Compassion is the core value that drives Aleshia. “Taking care of others fills my cup,” she says. As Health & Wellness Director, she takes a holistic approach. “Not only do I coordinate medical and care needs, but enhancing quality of life for our residents and our team members is a major focus for me, and one of my biggest passions.”

Aleshia received her Associate degree in Science/Registered Nursing from Frederick Community College. She is also a Certified Long-Term Care Infection Preventionist (LTC-CIP). Her blended family includes five children, four dogs, two cats, and a snake. She says she is a “sucker for a stray anything—baby bunnies, injured birds, feral cats…you never know what I might come home with!”

When she’s not caring for others, Aleshia likes playing games and binge-watching television shows. Perfect vacation? An all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean with an onsite casino and spa.
